"Rockefeller Center"  Pastel on UART

Welcome to this web gallery of my original pastel paintings and oil paintings.
The majority of what I am drawn to paint is the New England landscape in all its seasons and colors - verdent green river banks of summer, golden autumn afternoons, and crisp winter sunrises.  Painting trips to Monhegan Island off the coast of Maine offer up wind-swept rocky coasts and well-used fishing skiffs used by generations of the Island's resident fishermen. 
More recently, several trips to New York City have inspired a series of paintings where I was challenged to find the color on a rainy day.
